# Manage Data Connector users

> Add Data Connector users, reset their passwords, and control admin access from the Data Connector page.

Control who can query the Data Connector from the **Manage users** page. Select **Data Connector** in the ION sidebar, then **Manage users**. Managing users requires admin access, which you get by completing onboarding.

## Add a user

1. On the **Manage users** page, select **Add user**.
2. Select the person from the list. Only active ION users in your organization are eligible. If someone is missing, [invite them to ION](/administration/users-and-permissions/invite-a-user) first.
3. Optional: select **Grant Data Connector admin (CUSTOMER\_ADMIN)** to let them manage users too.
4. Select **Create user**.

ION generates a one-time password link for the new user. The link is emailed to them, or shown to you once to share if email delivery isn't available. It expires in 4 hours. If it lapses, reset the password to generate a new one.

  The password email comes from `support@firstresonance.io`. IT teams: allowlist this address so account and reset emails are delivered.

## Reset a password

Data Connector passwords are reset from ION, not from the warehouse sign-in page. On the **Manage users** page, select **Reset password** next to the user. ION generates a fresh one-time link and re-sends it. The user follows the link to set a new password.

## Grant or revoke admin

An admin can manage users and create BI service users. To change someone's access, select **Make admin** or **Revoke admin** next to the user. Admins show the **Admin** badge in the user list.

## Deactivate or reactivate a user

To remove someone's access, select **Deactivate** next to the user and confirm. They lose access to the Data Connector right away. Select **Reactivate** to restore it.
