# Schedule a run

> How to schedule runs in ION and view your factory schedule.

## Scheduling a step

To schedule a step, open it (**Runs** → click a run → **Steps**), open the step's more-actions menu, and click **Schedule**. Pick a start and end date in the panel that appears. The menu item shows the scheduled range once it's set. For how step schedules roll up to the run, see the [Overview](/build-hardware/runs-and-execution/overview).

## Viewing the production schedule

From the **Runs** page, switch the view toggle in the header from **Table** to **Timeline**. Here you can see all of the runs scheduled in your factory on a timeline. Runs without a schedule are shown with a **No schedule** marker.

Clicking a run on the timeline opens a side panel where you can set its scheduled start, scheduled end, and due date. The timeline reflects your changes automatically.
