# Kit parts to a run

> Reserve a set of parts against a specific run by requesting a kit from the run.

You don't have to fully kit every part.

## Request a kit from a run

1. Open the run and click **Kits** in the run header to open the kit manager.
2. Click **New Kit Request**.
3. Add the parts you need. To pull them from the run's aBOM, choose a source and click **Auto-fill**, which adds the aBOM parts and quantities to the request.
4. Click **Submit Request**.

As soon as parts are kitted, they're subtracted from inventory and reserved for the run.
