ION notifies you when something happens on an object you follow: a new comment, an @-mention, a status change, an approval or sign-off request, or an assignment. Every notification appears in your in-app inbox, and you also receive it by email if you enable email notifications.
To push notifications to external systems such as Slack or an ERP, use Webhooks to deliver ION events outside the app.
