Run a consigned part flow

  1. Create a purchase order for the work.
  2. Create a run for the assembly.
  3. Create a kit tied to the run.
  4. Kit the inventory the supplier needs and deliver the kit. Mark the corresponding steps complete. To track the parts at the supplier, tie the kit to a location that represents the vendor, so inventory shows at the vendor’s location.
  5. Tie the PO line to the run step using an outside processing step.
  6. When the assembly is received, complete the receiving inspection step.
  7. In the run’s aBOM, click Install All From Kit(s) to install the kitted parts onto the assembly, then complete the run.
