Require an inspection on receipt
You set whether a part needs an inspection on its part-procedure relationship. Mark the inspection run as required, and approve the relationship. To link a procedure to a part and set this, see Part-procedure relationship.
Complete an inspection at receiving
- Receive the part. ION creates an inspection run for the received part.
- Run the inspection steps and capture results.
- Complete the run. The inventory becomes Available, and the inspection results stay on the inventory record for traceability.
Require inspection on critical parts so a defect is caught at the dock rather
than mid-run, where it can halt a line.
