Scrap nonconforming inventory

  1. Identify the inventory to scrap, for example from a cycle-count discrepancy or a defect found during a run.
  2. Create an issue against that inventory.
  3. Apply a disposition type your organization configured for scrapping, with the Permanently Unavailable availability behavior. Record the reason and any handling notes in the disposition.
  4. Route the issue through review and resolve it.
Once the scrap disposition is applied, the affected inventory stays permanently unavailable.
