Rename an issue

You can rename an issue from its page header while the rest of the issue is editable: while it’s Pending with no approvals yet, and while it’s In Progress. See Editing and locking.
  1. On the issue, click the title in the header.
  2. Type the new title.
  3. Press Enter to save.
An issue created without a title, such as through the API, has no title to click. Set its title through the API instead.

Summary

Depending on your settings, an issue has a Summary card above Details. Expanding the card writes a short summary of what is wrong, what it affects, and where the issue stands. The summary draws on the issue’s fields, linked records, and recent comments. Records it names are links. Regenerate replaces the summary with a new one. A summary needs ION Intelligence turned on and some written text on the issue, its Further Actions, or its comments.

Comments

The Comments section on an issue holds a running discussion of the issue and its reviews. To reply to a comment, use its reply control. To close a thread, resolve it; a resolved thread can be reopened later. Filter the feed by Issue, Reviews, and, when the issue links a run step’s procedure, Procedure.

Labels

Labels are shared tags you apply across ION to group related records. To add one, click Labels (or Add labels when the issue has none), then type in the Search or create labels… box and select it. For creating and deleting labels in the shared library, see Labels.

Attachments

The Attachments section holds files such as images, PDFs, and STEP/STP files attached to the issue. Add a file by dragging it onto the section, clicking Browse files, or, on a device with a camera, clicking Take a photo. To remove a file, click its delete control and confirm in the Delete attachment? dialog.
