Place a run step on Hold to pause work on it, and add a comment so anyone looking at the run step can see why.
  1. Navigate to the target run step within the run.
  2. Open the run step’s More actions menu and choose Put Step on Hold.
  3. Add a comment describing the reason for the hold, for example, “Step placed on hold due to lack of part availability.”
The comment is attached to the run step and visible in the run step sidebar, so others can understand the context of the hold.
Step cards show symbols indicating comments on the procedure, run step, and redline objects, giving a single reference point for hold-related documentation.
